This DIY Flower Blossom Hair Oil is one of my all-time favorite clean beauty products—it works wonders in my hair, smells amazing, and looks SO cute with dried flower blossoms in the bottle.

Argan oil and jojoba oil make the base. Argan oil is super moisturizing, and it prevents frizziness and breakage—a lifesaver for my dry, damaged hair! Jojoba oil strengthens and softens the hair and is a little lighter than argan oil.

I encourage you to make this recipe your own and adjust the argan to jojoba ratio depending on your hair type. This recipe calls for 2 parts argan oil to 1 part jojoba oil, but if your hair and scalp are on the drier side, I’d use even more argan oil in the mixture. If you have oily hair, I’d recommend using more jojoba oil than argan oil to avoid weighing down your hair.

I used lavender, rosemary, and ylang ylang essential oils in this recipe. Not only do they smell incredible together (the herbal and floral combination is a dream), but each oil offers different benefits for your hair:

Lastly, we’ll add dried flower blossoms (not necessary, but totally worth it) to the bottom. They’ll infuse the oils over time, boosting the scent and adding botanical benefits. But honestly, the real reason why we’re adding them is because they look SO pretty.

A quick note about the bottle: I chose a clear essential oil dropper bottle for this DIY because I wanted to be able to easily see the blossoms, and I store my hair oil in my bathroom drawer. However, if you’re going to keep your hair oil in a well-lit room, I’d suggest using a dark (blue or amber) bottle to help preserve the essential oils.
