DIY Pom Pom Ornament

How to Make a DIY Pom Pom Ornament
Supplies:
cardboard
scissors
large mug
small jar or candle
comb
Directions:
1. Use the mug to trace two large circles on the piece of cardboard.
2. Use the small candle or jar to trace two smaller circles within the larger circles. Draw two lines between the small and large circles to create a βCβ shape, then cut out the two shapes and stack them on top of one another.
3. Loosely wind the yarn around the stacked βCβ shapes continuously to create a thick layer of yarn (as shown below). Cut off the end.
4. With a scissor, cut the yarn all along the outer edge of the cardboard shapes (this will start to form a pom pom). Cut a 12-inch long piece of yarn and gently tie it around the center of the pom pom, between the two pieces of cardboard.
5. Remove the cardboard and make a tight double knot around the center of the pom pom (as pictured below). Then, tie the ends of the two long pieces of yarn together.
6. To finish your pom pom ornament, take a comb and gently brush out the yarn pieces to make it extra-fluffy. Youβre all done with your new ornament!! If youβd like, you can attach a metal ornament hook before hanging it on your tree.
